Batter pud

Of course we had it as kids every Sunday Ciel. Puffed up on top and sobbled in greasy gravy poured from the roast beef. One can buy an imitation pack but it is not much use without the rich gravy. The one you made probably did outperform most originals. I'll have to ask an old Yorkshire woman when I see her.

I've had it, I like it, but neither my LSW nor I have ever made it. But we have specialty stores where you can buy it, and I have this image of roast beef and Yorkshire pudding that may well become reality soon, some time after out Thanksgiving...

That explains why it's the best he ever had

I"ve only had it once myself

and Yorkshire pudding, when done right, is quite good.  Love your descriptions of the mountains and mist in the beginning.  Thank you for sharing

Re: Utah Jay,

Thanks again!

Are you going to join TAPS and me on Flickr?  It's free unless you go to a Pro account.

Yes, I love your photography and have started posting some of my own here in the photography blog. Of course they are not all mine, but the ones that are are noted, the others just fit the work better than what I have.

Re: JimmyA,

Not surprising, it isn't a traditional American dish.  Roast Beef and Yorkshire pudding--that's the standard!

Re: FormerStudentIntern.

Yes... he liked it even if he did kinda put his foot in it.

Re: Pat,

The one time I tried making it from a mix, it was hideous... And from scratch isn't that complicated.

TAPS has some lovely shots!

Believe it or not, I think I've only had Yorkshire pudding once in my life . . . and I loved it!

The Yorkshire pudding was quite the hit your mom had there.

I think I'd like Yorkshire pudding. It sounds delicious.

And this is just the season for it. Thanks so much for sharing Taps' photos. That was a great idea! and thoughtful, too.
