Re: Rumour..

Good thinking, but I do think we are all a bit too polite sometimes when we should kick ass. I am not here today U A is replying.

Re: C.C.

Justi dear I don't think the doctor's want to know about such trivial life threatening subjects. I am monitoring it carefully and no sign of infection, I can get a lady skilled in the art of removing toenails if the need arises, she just did it for my SIL and it was painless. No I would not grumble at you.  I value your friendship too much.

CCT...

I totally agree we should come away from Blogit feeling good, not grumpy...everyone can still share their own opinions, but in a nice way, not sounding like they're right and everyone else is full of crap...

Oh I don't think you folks over there are more big headed that our Californians...And I always say to each his own, but I wonder what I why they say write what you know, I haven't much experience in happiness.

C.C.

TAPS and Kabu can both tell you what is right. I am telling what a mom would. Get yourself to a doctor post haste before you get blood poisoning. Now just do it don't talk back to me that would break your promise not to comment on mean writing. This may just be too mean but I mean you need to go to the doctor!

Oh, well now I see you've already been.  I think I would go again and get a second opinion.  I do have much sympathy for your condition--no fun, no fun at all.

You should get that toe taken care of by a podiatrist.  It is worth every penny.  I know from experience.  After I broke my toe a few years back, somehow the trauma of it all caused a very bad ingrown.  I fiddled with it for months and months until I could stand it no longer and finally gave in and made an appointment.  One visit and it was all over except for a later follow-up check.  I always wondered what took me so long to give in and go.  Or, you could just get a cleaver and chop off the offending digit.

I am so sorry about your ingrown toenail! I have never had and I hope I never get one! sam

Re:

Well first of all, I have been to a chiropodist in the past and she told me that I would always have this worry as the shape of my toes were mainly for climbing banana trees.

As I have explained before I am not an amateur when it comes to surgical instruments I have performed very delicate operations on chickens. I can always explain the procedure if necessary, but I don't think you have any chickens. If my toe goes blue I'm telling you I shall be off like a rocket with the cash in my pocket and seek a comfort zone .

Re: Naut

It boggles the imagination Naut, there is plenty of room in California for the immigrants, nice and sunny, I don't know why they want to come to this wet dismal land.

Re: Marrise

Thank you Marrise, I don't think I could put up with anyone else trying to tidy up. It is a bit exciting waiting to see if these carnations have a nice scent, I am glad that you are feeling better.

I am so glad I am too far away to bother you with tidiness!!! I hope your toenail gets better and you have  better  days.  Beautiful flower, go along with the Dr. when you can.

CCT

With all the medical advice from the nurses around here, I shall not add my layman's two bits' worth (or penny's worth, in your case, LOL), though I'm certainly glad you're feeling better! Oh, and the UK is only slightly bigger than half of California...And not only do you have less acreage, you also have fewer earthquakes and fires...

Hmm...

was going to mention the toenail, but after reading Kabu's "scolding", I think you've likely had enough! I hope you're feeling better soon though, and that those wicked scissors didn't do any permanent damage!

Hang in there. There can be better days. Pain is never good.

Having suffered an ingrown toenail once, and also endured the

strain of childbirth, I have to say the toenail was worse. Not only that, after the other situation, I had a baby to coo over, not to mention a little income tax deduction for the next couple of decades. You have my sympathy, and I second what Kabu said - get thee to a podiatrist. Nobody functions well when their hurt. Hope you feel better soon.

posted by Pat_B on July 4, 2013 at 12:29 PM | link to this | reply

You know that I am going to scold you....what on earth are you doing mucking around with your medication???? It is up to your Dr. to help you decide when and if to go off the steroids.

I do not believe that you would use an old kerchief to hold up your pants...I'll not comment further.....

But the toe nail for goodness sake, instead of supporting half the charities in the UK, go to a Podiatrist and get your feet done properly...

End of today's scold!!!!(I feel much better )

posted by Kabu on July 4, 2013 at 12:24 PM | link to this | reply

I think I can understand your mood if you had to consider going to a blacksmith for a toenail! Hang in there, brother . . .

I heard a story about Churchill being chided by an observant woman

for ending a sentence with a preposition.  In his next words to Parliament, he stated clearly and correctly, "This is a situation up with which we shall not put!"

Ending a conversation with a proposition is entirely a different matter.
