PBut marbles don’t hurt plants. They’re good for drainage. Babies could use that too sir.  BC-A, Bill’s R®st

Some things are easy, it's just that we don't want them

Loved the poem (as usual)

Re: CC

Thank you Justi it seems a rather awkward way to grow potatoes but by doing so we obtain them a month earlier and if we plant in pots again soon they will be suitable for Christmas.

Re:

Perhaps I worded it badly Taps , I know they feel  things but if we they can't remember it does not seem too bad somehow. What's this about tiny potatoes?

Re: Kabu

Dear Kabu you cannot just say things off the top of your noodle how can you feel pain if yopu cannot remenber anything about it. Yes I know about the wood it is a good idea but netting is a bit weaker

Re:

I hope it does not include ivy Sam I hate that plant but I do allow it to grow up one hawthorn tree as it is protection for small birds.

You do keep busy with your projects! The poem was fantastic and I always love your closes! I walked around the yard at the place I am trying to buy and there is so much work to be done! It will be fun but the guy who owned it before me sure loved his viney plants! All I see right now is the damage they can do when left unattended! sam

who knows...I heard they do and others say they don't....i remember hurting my finger as a baby ... my hand was caught in the door crawling after my grandmother

pretty in pink and of course babies feel pain...even before they are born

Our screen porch is supposed to be taken down in the winter but we have secured it so that it withstands all weather...In the winter we stand a long 2 by 4 piece of wood in the center which helps keep the roof from dropping.

CCT

At the earliest stage a baby can feel pain (that is easily demonstrated), but not remember it - the brain is simply not developed enough for remembering such things...

And I like the poem - it is as pensive as the young woman it describes...

When I was working in neonatal at Research Hospital the tiny baby boys sure made a believer out of me that they felt pain when they were circumcised without any anesthetic or local pain med.  I'm pretty sure they didn't remember it later though.  Speaking of tiny potatoes....

I wonder what events happened when I was a baby that I did not retain my own memory...That was quite the twist there at the end.

I love all your flowers. I loved the Water Lily, I hardly expected the ending. But that is one of the beauties of your poetry is how it all comes together from the air in the last verse. Be blessed my friend. I hope the little potatoes become cooking size soon.
