I know I keep buying crumpets and putting them in the freezer, Sorry dearie but shoes just aint going to push my buttons, I think of ingrowing toenails and bunions. I noticed the cut price store had bags of liquorice from down under. Nothing ever tasted as nice as the cattle beans, but you were too refined to search in the cattle troughs I expect

It sounds like the money was well spent to me, and you're right: nature's gifts are often the best ones

I think over-spending happens to most people who go on a vacation or, in your case, go back to visit family.  It's the downside of travel in general. Sounds like you had some good shopping fun though and got some good deals!

Kabu...

Have Scrappy and Graysome seen each other yet?...just wondered if they were making peace or contemplating a rematch...

Scrappy is an adorable scrapper!..:)

Good to hear you had such a wonderful time on your trip, Dear Kabu. The memories are well worth every cent.
I like your priorities!

Poor Scrappy! I would think that he would have been a bit too "gun shy" to return! Keep Mr. Graysome away! And hey, going slightly into debt is sometimes what vacations are all about! Remember, you can't take it with you . . .

The thing about money is, it's all the same

and not very interesting.  And forgotten, in the enjoyment of what it was traded for.

Happy Scrappy!
