I love to read other people's interpretations of sounds and images, it's like a glance into their brain

Very interesting, but I think I'd be careful with trying to respond! If you don't speak perfect "loon," you may end up unintentionally insulting someone . . .

Re: CC

The only place I've been where I've seen cuckoos (real live ones, not cuckoo clocks) and heard them was in the mountains of Spain.  I don't think we have them here.

Never heard one sing or groan Pat so I cannot say what it sounds like to me, waiting though for the cuckoo.

The loons to wake by, and the whip-o-will to calm our evenings. On reading the end of your post, the song 'Wild Thing' popped into my mind. It's been my ear-worm today.

I find it fascinating how people interpret the same thing in different ways as well.

TAPS...

When we used to vacation up north, the cry of the loon would awaken us in the morning and lull us to sleep at night...they were fun to watch....

I'll walk with you. Love the free birds' songs, even the

"rude honking" of Canada geese with nests to guard.  Great old poem, too!
