Re: Adnohr,

I do like to buy clothes where I am, as reminders of the trip once I get home.  I have quite a few everyday clothes, like T-shirts from New Zealand, and shoes, and a nice boiled-wool coat... Did you bring home a kimono?

Re: CCT,

Forests are good, they make oxygen, and breathing is one of my favorite things.  You have frost, still?  I do hope I've seen the last of that for some months--unless I go looking for it in the mountains, on purpose!

Re: Annicita,

I'm with you on temps... Often here it is warmer outside than in, this time of year.

Re: Naut,

I'm not that familiar with Halifax... is there rain forest there, too?

Re: Pat,

I go to the Starbucks a little way down the road, loyal to them since they have let me hang photography on their art wall from time to time.

I sympathize with you, Ciel. The same thing happened to me in Japan - it was supposed to be warmer so the wrong clothes were packed. Very disagreeable. It does give one an excuse to shop if that's what you enjoy.

I have a weeping Ash ,it tries every year to construct a forest, those tiny trees grip hard.

Weather wise 630am as I look out of the window, frost has setlled on the garage roof, but the sun is breaking through. Just put another jumper on.

Ciel

Actually, it sounds a bit like the other coast as well, as in Halifax, for example...

You just described the Pacific Northwest to a "T" and I can almost see

the yard. Cold rain, overcast skies, drizzle: how positively Irish gloomy can you get? I wonder if there are still Seattle's Best coffee shops anywhere, or maybe a Tully's. Spend an hour in one of those and you'll warm up a bit. :)
