Returns can be the way to go on something like that.

kabu, a great place to find a good vacume, i upgraded my first vacume a kerby, which was working just fine so i gave it to my husband for the garage and sheds, and i picked up a new kerby, 2400 hundred dollars worth, for 50 dollars at an estate sale.

I wonder why they made it to where all that charging does not lead to that much vacuuming.

I  have had two regular size  Dyson vacuums and since I have the two dogs and cat I needed the animal one, they are so over priced and overrated its not funny.  My Bissel works better anyday of the week and for a lot less.

Kabu...

That Dyson vac sounds a little too compact...and time consuming...between emptying the catch-box and changing the batteries, one must use just as much time as using a larger vac...

I once bought an electric vacuum broom... Same result.

It charges for hours, cleans for two minutes, and emptying the collector thing is more trouble that sweeping up and emptying a dustpan. I threw it into the garbage, later dropped a Hefty bag on top, and the "dead" motor began growling. Still growling as I went in the house. Probably left a clean spot on the bottom of the trash can.

Oh dear Kabu how many times have I heard Arthur say look it up on the net. See the reviews. I am like you I tend to start using something and then decide it is no use, of course I cannot be bothered to take it back and usually give it to my brother-in-law who collects oddities. With regard to your small worker who fortunately does not come very often I would have thought she could have handled a toothbrush quite admirably. Forgive me for mentioning this tool, but I remember scrubbing the floor with one when I was incarcerated into a service role. My daddy always had a bad back, he put it down to the cold in winter and he got my mother to cut squares of flannel to which she sewed tape
he then strapped this around his back and evidently it must have helped.

That's not much battery life for the charge! I would have taken it back, too! sam

I'm sorry Grandmummy.  At least you could take it back to the shop.  Both of you be careful of your backs, won't you?

Kabu

I hate the sound of vacuum cleaners, any vacuum cleaners, no matter what make, with or without batteries, with or without wheels -  even if they can make coffee and do the dishes...
