I remember not wanting to wear a graduation hat when I was in elementary school...

No, no, no . . . never do anything just because others are doing it! Either you like it or you don't! Personally, I think women who wear things like that probably have something to hide! Unnecessary . . .

I am not quite sure I understand the reasoning behind wearing such a thing but if you must... then get the prettiest for yourself, Kabu. And then pretend it is a masquerade ball and laugh all the way home from all the pics you have taken of all the other people wearing theirs!  Then throw the darn thing in the trash when you get home; kicking and screaming and having your own way, at last!

Just balance a chicken on your head, nobody will know the difference

Kabu you look marvellous in that net truly fab. Perhaps you are like me on steroids.

I must confess all ladies look like that to me at the moment, perhaps I should reduce the dose.

I must say that it is very unusual! I look forward to see one of them on you! sam

lol

i have never been fond of hats, but i am thinking it could cover a balding head. the little lady i take care of now wears a knitted hat to bed.  i just let whatever hair i have blow in the wind and i generally look like i have feathers sticking up all over.

Kabuiepie-;)~

The wool hat would be you darlin', probably not at a wedding anniversary unless you held it here. But I love you anyway, so just take one of my ball caps and stick a flower on it

Oh no - au contraire, Kabu! That's exactly the picture I DO want - the one of the kicking, screaming lady, sporting a very awesome fascinator.....

I do not remember seeing them on ladies in films from the '30s -

but I do remember seeing folks at the royal wedding with them on. And my baby great granddaughter's baby pictures of her, wearing a diaper and a big daisy "fascinator" looked absolutely adorable. I know our Kabu will find the perfect one.
