I saw where a family escaped to a lagoon or something to that effect to save their lives! Such a horrible time for the people in Australia! sam

There was a family picutred on the Internet yesterday who survived by staying in water under a dock .  It is distressing to learn of this; I hope it passes soon. That was different for the building to burn and all the greenery to be untouched, I am glad it was not bothered.  Glad yours are all good.

The Carngham Station seems to be a different kind of fire.

All the shrubs and trees and hedges are perfectly green. Those fires are scary - I hate to see them and think of how it is for the people and all the little creatures. Maybe a little rain and snow ain't so bad after all.

The heat must be unbearable at least no one reported killed at present , but for the poor old sheep.

On that pic of Carngham all the trees and bushes and grass look so green.  How did the fires get to the building?....sparks in the air?

How very sad, and a reminder for us here that the summer fire season nears. I pray for your loved ones and their neighbors.

Kabuiepie-;)~

I am so sorry about the fires at home in Australia love. The pictures are magnificent and we can be proud Chris Hadfield is a Canadian astronaut. I thought it was good of me to ask him to do that because I love this wee Aussie girl.

I actually heard about the fires a few days ago from an old blogging friend, Grandmummy.  These pictures tear at my heart and make me want to cry.  Please let me know if there's some way I can help...maybe donate to the Australian Red Cross if you have one?

I'm so happy your family and friends are all safe.  I'm praying for the whole of Australia.  Love you.

Kabu

Disastrous! I am very sorry to hear about that! And I do hope there's no loss of life! Although I agree with adnohr, of course, that the loss of animals is bad enough...
