Naut,

The English had only the one King John, who was so bad, they never named another king of England John, again.  He was sorta the Nixon of England, persecuting Robin Hood, according to legend, and attempting to usurp the throne from Richard Lionheart, who was never home.  But he did, under duress, sign the Magna Carta.

I grew up with the Pooh books, and the poetry books were part of the set.  Dad read them to us, when he was in the mood.
