What a deceptive name, Sandy,  for that monster...I am glad she didn't stomp on your area.

Is that a baseball in your hand?  Now you have me picturing WileyJohn with a bat and Mr. Graysome as an umpire.

There is something to be said for the normal.

Now that I can speak from personal experience, yes, having the basics again ( heat and electricity ) is indeed a blessing. We really thought that recent Nor'Easter was going to knock our power back out, but fortunately it didn't! Don't feel guilty about your own comforts. It's not as though you took them from someone else!

thats all you can do is move on with your life, and try not to feel bad for those in the ground zero

Kabu

{I’m back out of the wind, freezing air, hurting my diabetic hands, and the darkness of another power outage on my block a little before lunch. That’s right I felt starved love. BC-A, Bill’s R®st

Kabu, you and your gnome (and Wiley) are blessed.  And you are so big-hearted, with your concerns for the Sandy victims.  I am praying with you for them.

Well it does well to count our blessings Kabu - I think along those lines all the time. And what a great looking gnome :)

I am heartbroken for the victims of Sandy's wrath, Grandmummy...I pray for them all every night...but yes, your Grandbaby is grateful, too.  Love you.

Yes, it is sad about Sandy, much of the ugly details were left by most of the media until after the election.

I am hoping our NJ friend, JimmyA, and others, has not been plunged back

into darkness and cold, with this second storm, just after they got power back.

Yes, it does make us feel we've dodged a really huge bullet,

to see the destruction all along the Atlantic coastline. They've had flood, wind, fire, an earthquake, and now blinding snowstorms. Your Hydro people, electric and gas workers from this part of the country, FEMA and Red Cross and locals - they're helping, doing their best to repair and rescue those souls. All we can do here is try to be a bit prepared for bad weather or power outages here. And donate some cash to the helping agencies. Your little Kabu Gnomette is so cute. :)

Yes it is best to look forward. That is why windshields are bigger than rear veiw mirrors. I love the little red and white Kabu Gnome.
