I was watching HGTV the other day and they were looking at places in Boise, wow its very pretty there, but the price range was kind of high.  Higher than I would of thought, are you right in Boise?  There was an area that was new called Kathleen I think.  Good luck

Scary and outrageous about the fires, Dear Sam!

Nice to hear lovespeak..:)  And the house does sound promising but be careful about taking on too much debt - dreams can turn into nightmares because of that! I wish you luck and peace, my friend..

Well - I've had news from you since this post, so know what happened. Looks can be deceiving - it was such a lovely house!!! But not the one for you...and you still have plenty of time.

Dear Shelly, I opened Blogit after quite some days and was so happy to see you come back, even though, as you say, for a while. I am busy on a project that leaves me with hardly any time to read or write. So I'll come back to read your blog later

Smoke gets in your eyes...

Even way up here it's smokey, not bad but not good. As for the carpets, carpet stores are constanatly having sales and sure the carpet would be cheap but should hold up with a modicum of care. The worst thing about a house is assesing the structural components, condition of the foundation, electrical, plumbing and all that. Financeers are also (especially government) requireing stringent inspections to make sure they are backing something that has value. If you know someone with carpenter skills, have them take a look, we always had my dad do that for us. One house we thought was cute, he said he was surprised we got outside before it fell down around us! Good luck, keep your eyes open, buy with your logic, not your heart.

I am watching the game right now, well not right now because right now is half time, but you've got to get those broncs going. I hope the house works out Sam. Too bad you are so far away as I could help with the repairs.

I suppose, as a Giant's fan, I can't involved in that discussion at all! Go Giants!

hide those credit cards from yourself. they have killer interest rates.

I always pay off my one credit card each month befire the interest is due. It has a really big borrowing amount on it because i live here in Canada and in an emergency it could be important but my income is little so i only put little amounts as i say and pay them off.

Now such repairs as you have mentioned can wait and be done as you save like Jess is doing....and I am sending prayers that this will work out for you luv.

sam

Are you sure you want to live in an area that's constantly on fire? Just kidding...Hope the house checks out! If you like it's basic structure and the location, the rest can be taklen care of later. But do yourself a favor - do NOT put too much on your credit cards! The interest will kill you!

And you should show as a picture of Christopher and his fiancee...

That's terrible with all the smoke in the area...The house does sound like it has potential. Still wishing you all the best in your search.

well you might find wood or tiled floors under those nasty carpets...i hate carpeting and when the money is there that is what i am going to do...rip it all out and then tile the floor easier to clean and dont have to worry about a fricking vacuum cleaner any more
