I have never had a problem with my keyboard! My letters stay on and I have not worn them off by over use either! You did get yourself into a bit of a jam with being overly excited! I will admit I would have done the same thing! sam

Re: Pat, about those strawberries, have the birds taken them...

I looked out yesterday, CC
and not a berry did I see.
The birds no doubt have had a feast
Which doesn't bother me in the least.

Re: NAUT

Well having just christened my mouse with a glass of vintage port, which incidently I was saving for Christmas last Christmas. I tried to acess your blog 6 times but just got a blank. So I thought Naut has blocked me, I was going ask that little chick Kabu and plead insanity. I think you have outlived most of your enemies, or they have forgiven you I don't think there are that many around these days. Any news on the doggy Did you see a dog won a British talent competition Pudsy I think this name was. Arthur told me it was on the net he said type in Pudsy,on the Tube.

Re: My C lifted off the board entirely but a friend put it back into place

Well that was funny Ray, ERT seem to get the most damage I should remember those.Thank you, so nice to see you back ,Poor Rumor must feel bad, undergoing treatment, I hope that you feel  the benefit from writing your experiences, I am sure all of the regulars really think that you are ace.

Re: Pat

Well Pat you are more professional, I just try for non toxic solutions Sometimes a sticky sweet or a bit of gum until I grow desperate. What about those strawberries have the birds taken them. I'll show you a pot of mine in a tunnel, I grow then for freezing, the ones outside look a bit sick after our hailstorm.

My C lifted off the board entirely but a friend put it back into place

and though feels a bit strange, not as flat as the rest, it is holding. What a deeply lovely and spell binding poem, CCT! And the flowers surely enhance with their sunny little souls!

CCT

My own keyboard problems are more often caused by coffee and marmalade, though I have pretty well licked (pun wasn't intended at first, but is now) the coffee problem by using a cup that is virtually untippable. I don't know what to do about the marmalade, though - it keeps slipping off my toast, and the keyboard appears to have a natural affinity for it...

Your poem? Amazing - and I shall savour it over repeated readings...

Last, not least - What in Heaven's name made you think I had blocked you, old chap? Hell, I don't even block my enemies, of which I have plenty here in Blogitville, just ask around, LOL...

I used a white paint pen to re-letter some keys, and covered

them with clear polish. The keyboard and the computer had both seen better days when I finally replaced them with new. Luckily, my keys didn't stick together, but it took a while for them to dry. You'd think we'd just remember which letter belongs to which key, after 50 years, but no.

Re:

Don't worry Jay I can live with it, just fixed my pump and pushed 100 gallons of water down 60 meters  does not seem far but saves carrying buckets and rainwater to boot/

Although we have had rain for a month we are not allowed to use a hose pipe as the reservoirs are still low

It amazes me the things you do. I would never think of repairing my key board like that, but I will remember it. About that i that turns my first to my fist. I have tried to fix it, but being computer dumb, I don't no how. I can't find my way back to get in there.

I have to say Mr. CCT, that the flowers are simply stunning, perhaps my favorite part of coming over here each morning.

FS touch typing probably does not stress so much, but my fingers are not that supple.

Re: Kabu

Kabu if you have ever stuck your fingers together you would perhaps qualify to explain why. It does not take much to amuse a gnome, they are a push over.

Re adnohr:

Adnohr     I was trying to use something non toxic . I have even bought different keyboards but after a few months it begins to happen Arthur says it is the way I bang the keys. Well I thought finger nail varnish as people suck their fingers.

I have a few letters missing on my keyboard too, but never thought of the varnish repair. Would crazy glue work as well, you think?  That lovely descriptive poem made me hungry!!

I agree with wileyjohn, I would just buy a new one.  Fantastic poem, at turns dark and rich

Chiff.Chaff.

I'd buy a new one instead of having such a bother, they aren't expensive at all.

I'ver never had a problem with keys missing on the computer keyboard. With the typewriter it was a problem...I'm really liking the imagery.

I never thought of solving missing keys with such a solution.
