singing louder will probably be the trick, and especially if the Gnomes join in

Kabu, I love to hang windchimes on the porch and around the place. ......

Maybe some of them hanging from the trees or little hooks attached to things (maybe the new shed) could distract your attention from the "noise" to the lovely sounds of "chimes".

Kabu

I'm thinking of a couple of Tibetan gongs - they're decorative and LOUD...

Too bad a perfectly lovely day was interrupted with noise from another! I am with you, sing louder and often! I really like May, too! So many things coming up, and of course the weeds, and planting and the preparing for planting! I can't wait to see how you dress up the shed area! I wonder if you will need a Gnome watchman? lol sam

Advertise your garden as a good place for aspiring bagpipe orchestras to practise.  After a while he may get the hint :P

Well how close are the neighbours Kabu, I thought  they were well away. A simple little remedy wear ear muffs. 'What did you say Wiley?' Would you make a cup of of coffee darling?'  'Sorry can't hear, I 'm busy make you own.'   Well you know what I mean.

Kabu

When are you going to become the First Lady of Gnomedom? Sounds like you are well on your way. Love your posts they give me an emotional boost. I guess it is all the romance that has been or not been around your little village that has kept me wondering.

I will be listening for you. I too have spent the day outside working. I want to thank you for all of your kindness Kabu. You were wonderful.

Here is to hoping for the best with regard to the gnomes.

I think giving them some private time will truly help

Sometimes one doesn't like having observers in the courting dance.

I just realized today that I have Gnomes for neighbors.  The couple moved in a week or so ago (and their airedale dog), but today is the first time I noticed two Gnomes guarding their patio door--one on each side.  I'd like to take a picture of them but I think I'd better get permission from the couple.  I wouldn't want them to think I was taking a close-up picture through the glass into their dining-room area.

Kabuiepie-;)

I have to take a day off from these 'Gnomescapades' Peanut, I am plumb wore out. Oh yeah, I have to cut those old fence posts into logs so the lad can haul 'em away with all that steel fencing

Glad your day was good and hopefully you'll have quiet tomorrow. The birds were singing here today and the woodpecker chimed in as the background drummer. I enjoy listening to nature's band play on!

Too bad they can't make a chain saw that plays

a polka the gnomes would enjoy instead of that thunderous buzz.
