Awwww.. Mr. Graysome... he's so cute!

We had a "mudroom" in elementary school... It was an initial room with benches for us kids to sit in once we got off the buses.. until the "other" school doors officially opened

Farmers here have mud rooms so they can clean up after chores.

very good answer, but I thought it was pretty much self explanatory, and I had never heard of one until you mentioned it.

Nice mud room...looks cleaner than any we ever had!  Ours often had cow pies in there!

Kabu, I've heard the mudroom described as the most useful

room in the house, and its easy to see why...lol..Graysome probably thinks in that little cat brain of his that its his own special room...

what a civilised concept - I had never heard of that before

Nice mud room and Mr Graysome looks so comfy

Miss Rosie ran out when I got home tonight and cornered the neighbors cat under my ramp.  I thought I would never get her in.  She was going to have to be comfy outside under the ramp tonight.

I like your mud room.  I have no mud room so I try to stay out of the mud.
I really hate it when I step in dog poo that lazy neighbors did not collect after walking their dogs.

When I lived in Michigan it was a neccesity but now that I am in the desert there's no need! I really like your mud room, mine was never as classy as that! sam

That is awesome

I wanted to know what a mud room was. I'm so glad you explained it and even showed us pictures.  I think it is a wonderful idea.

It does look nice, we only have a mud hall and a coat hanger.

Wow - looks real nice! The blue against the pale wood is a good choice. Of course Mr. G.'s approval is very important!

I lived in Michigan for six years. All the houses I was familiar with had mud rooms. I don't have need of one here in the South we don't have enough snow to shake off. I love it. I agree with Mr. Grayson.

I don't think mud rooms had been invented when my kids

were tracking in half the dirt from the ball diamond all summer long.

Cool. Looks like a fun little room.  I can see why the cat likes it.

Kabu

The mud room is also an excellent place for storing cats...

That's a great idea to have a mud room. I imagine it works wonders for the cleanliness...I myself remove my shoes at the kitchen, which is where I enter.

Dear me Kabu you are making it up. I just kick my shoes off in the porch or walk across the kitchen floor if I am too lazy to take my shoes. Of course then I mutter and have to get a mop to clean it up again. We leave our recycle bins outside, I commend you on your tidiness though, and challenge you to toothbrushes at dawn.
