Kabu

Home renovations are definitely a nuisance (although the end result is always a treat). We currently changed kitchen counter tops and backsplash and I’m still chasing the dust around.

Getting work done is really stressful!

It is hard to relax with "professional" doing their job.

I am glad we are doing a "do it yourself project".  Of course my kitchen is in disaray but I'll get a lot cleared out and cleaning done.

Kabu

It could be worse! Mr G. might find himself face to face with a coywolf...

There's just no way a woman, or a cat, can relax and feel at home when there are carpenters, or plumbers, or electricians clumping around the house and using things that buzz or whine or bang.

I can believe that it does get on the nerves with all the noise! It will be marvelous once it's done though! Maybe it's time to do some shopping! LOL! sam

Welcome Home Kabu

I was sad to see that I found my way home and you were off traveling the world.  I'm happy you had fun...but you were missed here!

Mr. G will get over it, with a little TLC and time.

And you and your precious Wiley will be so much safer with the floor underpinned and reinforced. Funny it should give out AFTER you've both lost so much weight.

Question: Is there any reason the two of you couldn't take a jaunt to a Tim Horton's while all the noise is going on? Your gnomes will keep a weather eye on the workmen, make sure they keep busy...

Kabu, forgive my ignorance, but what exactly is a "mud room?"  I am assuming it has something to do with mud and boots and maybe at the back of the house when one comes into the house??? Here in the south, we leave our muddy shoes in the garage by the back door but we don't actually call it anything but "clutter by the door"!! We have not given it an "official" name.
