It is a spiritual experience when we care for the critters! It is totally internal and the satisfaction truly defies words! Great experience! sam

Great picture of the 'Graysome' on his perch and good for you feeding your feathered/furry buddies outside.

I can't imagine what it would be like to have a bear nearby and visiting me now and then.  I think I am quite satisfied with deer and raccoons and birds.

What a wonderful and nurturing bond, Dear Kabu!

I would also be careful with the bear..:) Hope your Hydrangea does well. Love the picture of Mr. Graysome..

The enchanted kingdom sounds charming...I felt the same way when I was feeding the cardinals, starlings and finches last winter, a type of spiritual experience.

I love your weekend garden observations.  You are so connected to the natural world, Kabu.  I've been connected to my computer, mostly, trying to get this Route 6 Guidebook (Stay on Route 6) completed.  I have Butt In Chair from 8am-3pm daily, then I'm off to work out and run errands.  That's why I've been so scarce here.  But I think of everyone and check in on occasion to see that all is ok. ....Mal

LOL - I would smile too. Those eager little bellies thinking "Is she done yet??" As for the bear, he/she is probably preparing for the winter siesta...

I wonder if the animals would survive the winter

if their humans didn't feed them

Kabu, that big old bear is probably heading for hibernation soon....

And in the process bulking up on whatever's edible....yes, the other animals know you're a lady with a big heart and they were just waiting....

How precious. I want that bear to go back, way back into the woods. I love this perch for sweet baby cat! You are a woman with a very big heart.
