To make enough money to give big donations to such efforts and those like them that upgrade the many oppressed of this world and myself with them.  It is a great dream....

I am not sure what I would do. I guess like you I would give it away to different causes.

I too have these impossible dreams....mine involves a training center for teachers, something for animals, and of course, lots of travels, with what's left!

my first thought would be to end
mental illness and depression, since I have it, but there are other causes just as worthy

My impossible dream, if I won Lotto, would be to
see all my kids and grandkids in paid-for homes, educated and doing work or art or whatever productive thing they love. I'd donate to NPR, schools, the library, and contribute to a pay-what-you-can clinic where people with no insurance could get routine exams, shots and treatment.

I think
If I had that kind of money, I would build better shelters for abused children.

I stopped day dreaming about having the extras...it never did materialise..I guess I am one of those who will work till I drop..although if I had the extras I would build bridges for more human interaction and act against prejudice of any kind.

Sometimes I dream (day dream?) about what I would do if I won a million dollars (or more). But I don't really, seriously. I dream about other things more, like going on a trip to see my son in Texas, or going to visit a friend in Hawaii....

To run the AMAZING RACE...To see Poland and Russia and parts of Yugoslavia...To ride a bicycle through Holland or Denmark...That's my impossible dream Grandmummy.  Love you.

I don't know if it is an impossible dream, but I am doing it now. Each night I work I have to empty the trash inside and out. The outside garbage has a lot of soda pop and beer cans in it which I collect, sell, and donate the money to our local food bank and the non-profit clinic that saved my life 8 years ago when I really needed the help...I hope to do this city wide one day soon, and beyond.

Kabu you have a heart as big as 'all outdoors'. Only through proper economic management can a country lessen the poverty and same with families only with judicious behavior can they learn the skills to rise above poverty. There are times when even all can fall upon hard times but to live in it is the habit of some. Education is the key lady if you could do that you would change the world. It would be great if we could teach the girls not to have sex before marriage and they would have someone to care for the children with them if the boys had been taught. I hope you win the lottery. God bless you wonderful lady.

That's a beautiful aspiration to have, Kabu...that's exactly what Oprah is doing with her school for girls in South Africa.  My dream would be to find a way to help, and inspire other's to live their true dreams

Kabuiepie-;)
Great post love but really, you must leave me out of anything to do with work. Now as long as you keep watching the children, keeping at your farm work in the spring and summer, and leaving me to fix the computers and snoozing that's about it. Good luck with that lotto so you can build us a huge room on the second floor to see the Ottawa river better. Oh, yes with a stair chair so I can get up easily.

Kabu, how about a similar school for young men?
Not delinquents, but young men striving for success when they graduate...how to handle finances, social pressures, job interviews would be some of the practical subjects taught by competent, understandable teachers..oh, and no bullying would be tolerated....

Well I have be no problem travelling in the present Kabu I just send an email and cling on to the edge. Sorry Kabu U.A is home for the day. I can't think of anything, but I agree I would like to see woman have more power as long as it is not in my back yard. I expect it will come eventually, but they might have to give up high heels.
