Our children
have major spider phobias. Christian told me the other day that we now have Black Widows in England! Happy Thanksgiving

"ooh!" I said, looking at your photo. "Here's a spider and a half!" Youngest daughter shot up off the settee as if one had landed on her. Although we have no poisonous spiders over here, she hates them with a passion (just like I feel about snakes - all of them!)

Lovely spider,  I had a wolf spider on my door in spain.  It was the size of our hand and kept me and three children hostage for four hours as we were not brave enough to remove it from our front door.  Poor thing was probably more scared of us huge humans ha ha.....

Well Kabu just to be awkward I kind of like spiders I shall keep a pet one, to remind me of you. Well a little friendly one. It does sound rather idyllic out there in places and the kids playing it seems kind of fifty years behind the times. I love hearing of your romping around playing new games. Yes I bet they loved someone who didn't understand the rules.

I'm with you on the spiders
I don't like them at all.  What a good time you had!!!  Thank you and Wiley for all your support.  You both are such sweet, sweet Angels.  Many Blessings.

Having the children to yourself was a wonderful way to finish up your trip! I wonder where I could get an ornamental spider like that? IIt may be a handy Xmas gift idea, LOL!

Oh how absolutely precious. I would lap up private time with grandchildren like a cat at a bowl of cream. Such a wonderful dream. I love these stories, keep them coming. Love ya,

yikes, that spider is ornamental?? (gulp)
I'd be stepping on it every time I was anywhere near it, just out of reflex.....

I noticed a lot of big furry spiders, spooky pumpkins and
all kinds of creepy crawlies on the shelves at Target this week. Time to plan my tricks or treats, as I expect there'll be a few kids knocking on all hallow's eve. Your visit sounds like balm for the soul...
