It's so good to hear that your new life is working out so well. And you're right. A walk in the sunshine is definitely energising.

I love your posts for the range of activities, feelings shown in a family setting. I think you and your wife are so interested in being good parents. I so applaude you for that.

I think the breaks that include walks are a magnificent idea! I love how you tend to the needs of your children, one fine dad in my book! sam

I say that you are working at just the right amount. A good thing it is when someone does not over inundate themselves.

good music ~ great era --- do you like soft rock and roll as well? I am not into that 'heavy metal' but I like that music as well. And you are doing yourself good by taking moments --- walks ~ sunshine - in between working. and Claire - you know Malcolm, my daughter Sarah was much like her. and she's still a homebody - and went to private school and smaller Universities. She's brilliant and very driven so it's good when she does something with her gal friends just to --- have fun. My Sarah was the dancer - she took ballet and tap and jazz then ballet --- for several years but, when she met her now husband, in high school she fell away. She pines for 'dance' again. It's all about balance - I think you are doing well with Claire by courting (carting) her back and forth to 'friends' for some fun. Elyse

malcolm...
so I see you're a 60's-70's radio nut too, eh?...
...I grew up with the radio on wherever we lived at the time, and My Mom seemed to enjoy it as much as I did...as a matter of fact, and this is the truth, right now I have a classic rock station on, even as I blog..

Have been reading back, Malcolm. I know how you feel about the difference when a child goes off on his own. It is what you want for him, but we get a bit nostalgic when we look back and realize it will never be the same. Eh bien, life does have to go on. So nice to see you relaxed and doing well with your own business.

Hooray Malcolm! Glad you enjoyed your stroll. Yes, it does feel good to get out and about. Glad Claire enjoyed a visit with her friend.
