I've been to Israel and it is indeed a land of milk and honey, at least from the beauty of the landscape and the variety of vegetation.  The people are so diverse and I truly enjoyed all of those I met - Jewish and non-Jewish alike.  As for the chosen people, I think Jews and Gentiles are both God's chosen people; however, historically speaking, the children of Isreal were first, keeping in mind many of the people groups in this area were birthed from Abraham and Sarah.  Guess God's going to have to figure this one out.  Hope I didn't share too much of my opinion to your post.
