I think you are very fortunate to have received a warning! I still think it is best to drive the speed limit! But, it is your decision! sam

I'm glad you just got a warning. I go over the speed sometimes, also depending on drivers around me, the length of the trip... I have never gotten a speeding ticket and hope I never do.

Speeding an exhiliration I should say FSI, I wonder why speed limits on certain roads which is why I think highways have traffic jam (just my thought here) and I was wondering at what those choice words would be.. Thank you for the visit.

FSI

On Monday my wife and I had to go to Chatham, Ontario, about 50 miles from here.  There is a major highway from Windsor to Montreal, and the speed limit is 100 kilometres an hour, or 60 miles an hour.  No one goes that slow.

Well, the Ontario Provincial Police were out on Monday and doing a booming business speeding ticket wise.  Fortunately they had people pulled over when I went by them, although I was only doing 110Km. an hour.  I don't know whether they would have waved me over or not, but I eased up on the trip back.....

FSI
Good for you, I have had 1 speeding ticket and about 6 warnings in 55 years of driving, you did well my friend......

I have only been pulled over for traffic violations a couple of times in my life.  One time the cop let me off with a warning.  I always felt soooooo bad afterwards, so humbled.

I was once stopped for speeding when I was driving - in all my robes - between church services. The cop let me go with a warning, but added, "For Christ's sake stop speeding!"

Sounds like you are a responsible driver.
And a lucky one to get off with a warning! We have some roads in our town that have been widened to four lanes but still have a 35 mph limit. Not many people adhere to it!

boy you got lucky cops around here arent that nice, but I have to say, (knock on wood) I have only had two tickets in my entire driving life, close to 50 years, now my younger daughter has a few causing our insurance to be sky high

"Colorful driving history' is a somewhat hilarious phrase. I laughed. Right out loud, even. I wish mine had a little less color to it!

FSI, You are a brave men, I never drive more than five over on purpose.  Too risky!

I definitely have a heavy foot and a speeding mentality.  I can't stand to be following slow movers.  I've had several warnings, but only one ticket.  That was probably ten years ago.  I try real hard to be a nice law-abiding grandma.

FS  If you were over here and did fifteen over the limit you would not go to Heaven. I think your cops are brill, do you know some traffic wardens hide around a corner and wait to pounce on anyone who stops for a moment in a no parking zone  although very often there is no place to go. I think probably there is still the old cowboy feeling floating around your highways. Be careful of a fast gun.

I am always unreasonably pleased to read when someone beats a speed ticket
unless of course they are a dangerous or drunk driver. Some of those 50 Zones are a bit silly I sometimes think. I would bet my hat on you being a safe driver.

LOL.....
Always hitch on to a "rabbit" ....a car speeding the same as you up about a block or so in front....they're the sacrificial lamb on the alter of trafficdom!
