I have at times felt unable to express any thoughts suitable to form poetry. It will come back, it is swirling around somewhere. Perhaps it will pleasantly surprise you and become just a normal part of your life as something enrichening, I should have said a form of enrichment. see I can't even spell. Good luck.

Your blogging nomme-de-plume, Is "Symphony." That says much about you!
Symphony,
I think that you will find that most readers prefer to read happy, funny or upbeat writers, over the angst-wracked writers. You appear to have been very successful in the past, and I predict that you will do even better, now that your circumstances, outlook and attitude have taken a change, for the better. Writing talent is a constant, regardless of whether or not one writes, and one can write well, on a variety of topics, and espouse a variety of opinions, when like you, they have the ability to do so. Still, I think that you would agree, most people would rather be made to think, laugh, or learn, than to cry, sympathize, or be made angry.
Thank you for visiting my blog site, and leaving a comment. I am happy to have made your aquaintance, too.

I have not read any of your dark previous poems and posts
But since your life is not so dark and things are looking up I would like to read about that and how you turned your life around. I dont think it would be boring as you seem to think it is. I am looking forward to seeing your new posts, if you feel like writing that is.

Nautikos
Thanks so much for your comment and your honesty.......even leaving an icon made somebody's day who was depressed or lonely, advice wasn't needed as you have to help yourself before others could...support from those who have been through it etc helps.... I am glad I am where I am now, but also glad it was hard getting here as I appreciate everything about my life now....I am so happy.
Thanks again....

Symphony

I'm glad you're back, and even more so that you are well and that life for you is so much better than before.

I'll let you in on a little secret - I am not one of those that likes to read about other people's misfortunes. It usually depresses me, although I realize that it may be cathartic for people to get things off their chest, as it were, and that's a good thing, of course.

But I don't know what to do with it - give advice? In 99.999999999% of all cases that's impossible without knowing more...which is also impossible...

So all I can do is express my sympathy, and maybe that helps a little, but it sometimes feels simultaneously inadequate and redundant...

And you know what else? (And this is something that may become the topic of a future post...) I lack the 'emotional agility' to switch instantaneously from a funny-haha post to a sad one and back again, which is something that happens frequently as I wander the streets of Blogitville...

Hmmm...
I do not know what happened to the last part of my comment. I was trying to say that anyone who has traveled from hard times to a place of success and happiness has a lot to offer the many who are trying to work through their own hard times. Keep Looking Up! Dan

Hi, Symphony.  It's good to see you here now and then.  I think it is human nature to write posts about personal misery and sadness.  Many people come here to do that and then move on in happier times.  May your life always be blessed from here on and may you never again have any misery about which to write.

Hello Symphony, I think it is a lot different. Our country is different. People no longer answer on their blogs as we did in a time past. I liked that a lot. People cared that you read and what you thought, and responded to that. It is all different now. I leave and then return but none of it is the same just to be writing. We are struggling to see, show and be shown a way out of the horror we once called a free USA. Good to see you, glad you are happy. I wrote so many times wishing this day would arrive for you, it has is a blessing to me.

People didn't read you because they enjoy people's misery
They read you because you've heart.

i am a very quiet here too at the moment. There've been a few other things to attend to.

Heart is the best guide for writing.Just write from there, start anywhere.
