I admire you for going with the flow (I'd have been sitting in shock) and getting your nails done--ha.  I've always been with a man who knew how when flats have happened; I watch very carefully.  Maybe I should try it in my own driveway?

Lots of flats, and I had to rescue myself.

The worst one was an inner rear tire on my motorhome.  It tore out propane lines and electrical wires.  I was lucky and there were no fires but what a mess!

Not only would I recommend one have a spare, jack and wrench but also know how to use them.  Flashlights, gloves, blankets and an emergency tool kit are also nice.

The next time my car breaks down I'm going to make sure you are a passenger in it.  You are one lucky lady.

- There’s nothing worst. Years ago when my car broke down in another area a man stopped and paid for a part on the highway. He gave me advice to always carry $50 when I drive, love. 201KBC-A, Bill’s RJLst

Whacky, you're such a kidder! Ya saying this was your 1st flat tire, EVER?
I have had probably close to 100 flats in my adult life, maybe far more! I probably have successfully managed to forget many of them. I sure tried, anyway. Of course dozens & dozens of my tires, were worn enough, to be able to see air through them. Blow-outs, rim leaks, stem leaks, torn beads, nails, screws, potholes, leaky plugs, water frozen into a lump which makes the car feel like it is just about to explode or fly, have all happened to me, and repeatedly! Tires must all hate me. I wound up buying my own air compressor, impact wrench, impact socket set, hose and tire air nozzle, and when I have a chance, I'm picking up air tools, when I see them at yard sales. They sell small hydraulic jacks that even a lady could easily operate, but spare tires and the jack itself, may still be too heavy for you to lift. There are also air pressuure tanks about the size of a watermelon, that can be stored in your trunk with emergency inflation charge stored for the possibility of making it possible to drive the car, to somewhere that it can be professionally and quickly fixed.
You probably drive so little, that you can trust to luck, and the kindness of strangers Blanche, but I earn my money driving, and people are depending on me to bring them their lunch. Hope this helps, or at least makes you feel better.

I know how to change a tyre I just don't have the strength to undo
those nut things. And one would get dirty And one would definitely ruin that lovely manicure. Yes the tyre people are the ones for that job and I have never been such a feminist as to be silly where brute force and dirt and grease is concerned. Lovely to read you again sweetpeaxkxkxkxkx fromyour Kabumom and a big hug for Bo doggie.
