Old Rural Places
I dream sometimes at night of our old places and go back to them, buy them and try to make a go of it. Sometimes I buy those dear old places -- in my dreams. Somehow I talk my current squeeze into living there....in my dreams.

Absolutely beautiful! I firmly believe that the places where spend our childhood in a sense become part of us and help shape our personalities - you are fortunate to have experienced this. It is still yours, even if you no longer 'own' it...

That is just beautiful. I relate to how you feel. We own a ranch that has been in the family for 3 generations too. We still own it and my brother lives there. A sister and brother-in-law live on the ranch up the road. If we ever sell it, my heart will be broken I think.
