I love to watch an orchestra play too -- sometime it's like the ocean.

Naut, you goofy thing!
DAVY is the doggie, CHARLIE is the young man home from college for a couple of months!  And the music was in Benaroya Hall in Seattle--incredibly fine accoustics!  Still, an outdoor concert would be lovely...  but Davy might just sing along!

LOLOLOL! I just realized I made a mistake here - for some reason I thought you had taken your doggie to an outdoor concert, 'cause I thought your son was out of town...hence my previous comment...

It's great that you could enjoy the music without Charlie joining in! I have never taken Jag to a concert - but he sings to the music on the car radio...

Yes, yes.  Wonderful thing music and dancing.  I would hate to have to do without it.

Hullo, Malcolm!
Now I'm thinking, I have to see the ballet!  Charlie kept closing his eyes to create his own visuals along with the music, but I jabbed him (subtly but firmly) every time his chin sank towards his chest...  No way I was letting him get all the way to snoring.  And next time, we will NOT eat a foot-long sandwich an hour before the music!  (By 'we' I mean 'he.'  I had the 6-inch and no sugary drink.)

Thanks, Mal!

One of the greatest pleasures is someone in the house making real live music!  In college, eons ago, every night I was at one coffee house or another on campus, where folk-musicians played, and we all sang.  It was not karaoke.

Photos are back!  Check out the travelblogue!

Hi, Jan!
The Englishman wrote the concerto we heard in 2005.  The full name is Thomas Ades (with an accent grav over the 'e') if that helps.

Yes, I too like to hear/see good music. Never heard of your Englishman, though.
