TAPS, thank you--
Tolkien spun a magic that was once and many times a great healing for my spirit. I have tried to catch the essence of his vision in my poems. I am touched and honored that you'd have shared them with her if you could.
Perhaps she is enjoying them over your shoulder even now...?

Each time I read something
of yours, I feel as if I have entered a small door to another world.
I received your additional pages for Lays of Middle Earth today.
I so enjoyed reading them this afternoon after I retrieved them
from my mailbox. I still wish that I could have read them
to my sister as she lay waiting for final flight. It would have
filled her mind with fanciful thoughts that she had always loved.

Re: So fascinating...
Running water there meant running down the cliff face to collect water from the stream in the bottom of the canyon, then running back up with it, though some was also sometimes running down the stone at the back of some of the caverns, seepage from the mesa top.

So fascinating...
...the environments earlier peoples lived in may seem harsh to us, but, some of their homes in more natural, open environments seem appealing...except when you take into account the lack of running water...which clinches it for me! lol

Thanks Mal, I love your comments, too!
I have been at home for quite a spell, though travel is in the works for cherry blossom time in DC, and later, spring turns to fall in the land of the Kiwi... Home is where my cats are... and dog, now.
I hope you are having a trip with all the right kinds of thrills!

Ciel, you should be a photographer-writer for National Geographic Magazine.

Very invocative of a long-ago age, but full of meaning for today.

Hi, Ciel - these are beautiful and I love your comments. I've been traveling, too, myself, so tough for me to comment and post. But I try to get to all of my favorites. Mal
