Automatic text readers can work at hyperspeed, 24/7, to glean personal info, perhaps passwords, credit card numbers, bank balances, credit rating, home address, and compile huge lists of email addresses to sell for 8 to 10 cents each. Probably other scams that haven't even come to light, yet. The scanners cannot read the skewed letter and number combinations, thereby defeating them before they can break into your life.

LMAO, Spitfire. But I heard that the jumble of weird letters and numbers is to prevent pre-programmed spybots, (or some term like that) from getting onto the site, or from sending advertising messages.. Won't swear to it though...think I'll call my teenage grandson and find out if he knows..LOL!

I won't play their jumble (not the real deal like in the newspaper; lol, aper wanna be, spelling impaired has always been my pervailing thought! lol) They drive me nuts too and I concur with your final thought!
