I love how you wrote it from 2 different points of view, this is so profound!

Very good poem. The pretending but not wanting to be without. He's drifted from you and for that I'm sorry. To love so much and not have it returned to you. To have a marriage you thought would pull together but just fall apart at your feet. having both views was interesting as well. Very well said. I'm sorry for your such pain.

Beautifully written
Perfectly balanced.. and an almost exact description of my marriage towards the end

very fair. you gave both of them half of the poem, and a chance to state their points. needless to say, it was very enjoyable

Freedom!!! I must live free or I will surely die
I had a job that made me feel like a prisoner with the endless politics and other manuevers and suchness.  It was horrible and because of the encroachment of my personal freedoms, my spirit began to literally die...If I didn't leave that job, I sometimes wonder if the rest of me would have too?

I don't know, all I know is Freedom is way too important to sacrifice !!!

Grace come to you, yours, and all hearts involved

Very nice poem BTW

So tragic.  You've caught the emotion of this experience well...

a big fat OUCH.  There is just no such thing as a "clean break" is there?

"I think you're a great person, but..." - that is always a breathtaking
line as one waits for whatever follows..."the end" is never good....

How awful is the breakup of a dream and how mundane the fight
over who gets what. And it always has to come to that.
