Is there a club I can join? I'm size 10 and just like every other woman I look at those photos and ask why I can't look like that. But then again, don't those stick girls always look so ill?

because you stay so aware! Great insight!

good for you!
Your positive attitude towards your body can only be reflected by how others see you when you see yourself differently.

I have curves too in all the right places.  I choose to enhance them with all that I can do including clothes and workouts and the right diet.  But most of all, none of these can happen without a positive attitude and you are off to a good start.  So you see it is not a lost cause, just takes work.  And a support system behind you, the rest of us girls.

Hot is in. Skinny is out. THe runway models make me want to vomit.  There is no life behind their skinny form.  I know, because I have been there.

It is great that you have embraced your curves so boldly, and fearlessly.

DevikaRao
This twiggy look some young girls yearn for causes unhealthy eating habits. Society has a negative impact on young girls.  Health comes before size.   Curve-alicious and healthy is the key.  Muscle weighs more than fat and a healthy physique is beautiful.

If one girl reads this

May I comment?
A beautiful woman's a beautiful woman. After all, a rose by any other name's still a rose, according to Shakespeare. Britney Spears' issues notwithstanding, her shape's fine.

Girl....
I have to work out every day for my curves... or else I would be skin and bones. I fight to stay in a size 6.... otherwise a six would hang on me. Be proud of that ass girl...

Curves
Hey Devika,I totally agree with you.It is both sad that we cant see and appreciate the beauty within us.We judge ourselves by what others perceive us to be (definition of Personality) .There will always be condemers and commenders. may we learn to listen to the positive and Leave the negative.Good essay!
