I think he has the potential to "step up to the plate" on many fronts....  I get the sense that he could very well be someone who walks the walk.

Corbin Dallas,
You are really reaching here! How would Sen. Obama ursurping the administration and Condi demonstrate his "foreign policy experience"? Just one suggestion: "stop the insanity"!

Re: CD, according to interviews with opposition leaders last week
Could that not be similar to interviewing Al-Qaeda on who started the war on terror?  What would you expect the opposition leaders to say.....the opposition leader Raila, has a long history of terror.........

The father of Kenyan independence and president until 1978 was Jomo Kenyatta, a Kikuyu.  His main political opponent was Oginga Odinga, known as "OO," a Luo and Raila's father

While Kenyatta was pro-West and sided with America in the Cold War, OO was a Communist who was aided and supported by the Soviet Union.

That's why Raila went to school in East Germany (born in 1945, he graduated from Magdeburg University in 1970), and named his first-born son after Fidel Castro.

This is why it's no shock  to learn that Raila has now made a deal for support from the Soviets' successors as world-champion enemies of the West and democratic freedoms:  Moslem fundamentalists.

Re: Corbin Dallas,
Apparently this one went right over your head.......

Barak Hussein lauds his friendship with this man....and the man is in control of the Islamic radicals, so to speak, it would be far more likely that he would listen to what Barak Hussein had to say....than a State Department minion......

Corbin Dallas,
You are not serious in thinking that Sen. Obama should intervene? Do we have a State Department? What about all the international institutions that Bush Inc. destroyed? What should the elected leader of the "free" world be doing (he is still on the payroll)?

CD, according to interviews with opposition leaders last week
The president stole the election then started cracking down when opposition crowds took to the streets. I heard this on BBC World Service.

But I agree Obama should do something.

Interesting post, but have you ever tried to step in and personally convince a friend with radical ideas of anything?  Its not as easy as it sounds.  Hopefully Obama will continue with his steps in that direction since he has an "in" that other politicians don't have.  But, I'm sure that his influence is very limited.   It is our President who should be giving convincing arguments to Odinga.

The more I hear about Obama the more I like. It could possibly restore respect to this country, I mean among its citizens.  sam
