Of course, not literally though, RaeS ...

I had nothing to do with Pavel being mysteriously pushed down the stairs.

Haha, yes a tragedy, Mademoiselle
Hoping Greta fades away. I bet you keep your family in stitches.

Don't worry, Kabu. If I were likely ever going to mature ...
it surely would have happened by now.

Not even the intellectual one about Alban Berg's "Wozzeck"?
Oh, and also that so not intellectual one...

Oh gaw. The one I hate the most.
Okay, fine, I take it back. Sorry. YOU are the hilarious one, not to mention, full of charm, too.

Well, you shall be awaiting for quite some time, actually.
As your punishment is the silent treatment.

Charming, too.

She used to mention it on her show all the time, Rcky ...
Whenever they would "assemble the legal panel".

posted by Mademoiselle on May 7, 2007 at 12:32 PM | link to this | reply

Madame...She sold herself out for $$$$$$. Did you know she is a lawyer too?

posted by RckyMtnActivist on May 7, 2007 at 9:35 AM | link to this | reply

Rcky, I just don't understand when she went from being a real journalist who focused on legal issues to ...

suddenly doing "shocking exposes" on "the hunks of NASCAR".

posted by Mademoiselle on May 7, 2007 at 9:33 AM | link to this | reply

Actually, riri, I'm not sure it was a good day for anybody!

posted by Mademoiselle on May 7, 2007 at 9:31 AM | link to this | reply

Really Madame...how mean! I don't watch FOX news anymore, EVER.
They all piss me off too much! I lean a bit to the left!

Will do, bandana.

posted by Mademoiselle on May 7, 2007 at 9:15 AM | link to this | reply

That woman had a facelift, Rcky?

She should have just kept the old one. How much worse could it have been?

In all seriousness, though, I lost all respect for her when she made a heartsick couple wait (to disseminate important info on their missing child) through a 20 minute segment entitled "Rosie versus The Donald: Round 3".

posted by Mademoiselle on May 7, 2007 at 9:14 AM | link to this | reply

It's okay. I already have representation, afzal.
But thanks for the offer.

posted by Mademoiselle on May 7, 2007 at 9:10 AM | link to this | reply

Wow. Imagine Greta itching your very body. Yoiks!
It would be even worse if she were under, say, a body cast.

posted by strat on May 7, 2007 at 8:08 AM | link to this | reply

...and also you can, like, pat Greta Van Susteren good morning, too.

posted by bandanafish on May 7, 2007 at 8:06 AM | link to this | reply

Wonderfully funny story Madame, but I have a question.......

Your statement, "Now I have this weird rash on my stomach (shaped like Greta Van Susteren)" ...Was that before or AFTER her facelift? LOL

posted by Mademoiselle on May 7, 2007 at 4:57 AM | link to this | reply

Well, it's worth a try, Corbin ...
I mean, at least it's a little more original than the "dog ate my homework" or "I couldn't concentrate on studying because of all the construction work being done in my house".

posted by Mademoiselle on May 7, 2007 at 4:54 AM | link to this | reply

Mademoiselle
lol!  Tragic, in need.  Sounds like you have a fun family.

That's an interesting anecdote, Saul ...

Perhaps you should consider sending it to "Reader's Digest".

This isn't quite the same thing, but one time, my uncle (who's a doctor) was visiting a very sick patient and he had a Freudian slip and told the nurse to "Just leave that chart at the foot of the dead."

posted by Mademoiselle on May 7, 2007 at 4:50 AM | link to this | reply

Brothers! They're such a pain. Love the Teddy Roosevelt line. Sounds
like something I'd say.  Like that time I was helping this lady put a bunch of big containers in her car, when I said, "Ya know, you can dispose of a few kids with these; they're just the right size."  She laughed and said, "I hope it doesn't come to that."  I aksed what she did for a living.  She said she ran a Day Care facility.  Now I worry that I might be an accessory to a crime...  Gotta love moments like that...

morbidity, then I guess that's fine.

You're welcome, Enigmatic.

posted by Mademoiselle on May 6, 2007 at 9:46 PM | link to this | reply

Thank you, bandana.
I felt it was necessary, seeing as the previous couple took on an intentionally morbid tone.

Re: Well, now you're going to have to de-learn it, Enigmatic ...
I, of course knew that - I was simply testing your knowledge - it seems to be up to par - carry on, then!

posted by Enigmatic68 on May 6, 2007 at 9:42 PM | link to this | reply

You see these sculptures all the time? Hmmm... I wonder why.

posted by bandanafish on May 6, 2007 at 9:41 PM | link to this | reply

Well, now you're going to have to de-learn it, Enigmatic ...

because I was referring to the sculptor (of the Odin statue).

He was born in New Jersey, not Roosevelt (who was born in NY).

posted by Mademoiselle on May 6, 2007 at 9:36 PM | link to this | reply

Mademoiselle
I do try to "Learn something knew everday", and I did not know Teddy was born there - thank you.

posted by Enigmatic68 on May 6, 2007 at 9:30 PM | link to this | reply

Also, Scriber, if there was a really serious injury that occurred there ...

it could be called "The Grounds For Puncture (Of The Lung)"

posted by Mademoiselle on May 6, 2007 at 9:28 PM | link to this | reply

grounds for adolescence...

posted by scriber on May 6, 2007 at 9:25 PM | link to this | reply

Absolutely, Enigmatic. In fact, I know the sculptor.

Who also owns the park and the adjoining atelier.

You bring up an interesting point, though. The reason it is located in New Jersey (of all places) is because the land could be bought cheaply and developed. Plus he was born therein.

posted by Mademoiselle on May 6, 2007 at 9:21 PM | link to this | reply

Mademoiselle
New Jersey...hmmm...are you sure it wasn't a sculpture of Teddy R.?

posted by Enigmatic68 on May 6, 2007 at 9:17 PM | link to this | reply

There are two reasons I only mention the sculptures in passing, bandana:

1) I see them all the time.

2) It's rather difficult to make serious art criticism funny.

posted by Mademoiselle on May 6, 2007 at 9:12 PM | link to this | reply

So you didn't even mention the sculptures.
Were they good? Did you enjoy the artistic expression (or something...) in them? You are this great artist, tell me how you feel about them.

posted by bandanafish on May 6, 2007 at 9:05 PM | link to this | reply

Oh stop it! You'd make fun of me either way...

Come to think of it, upon further review, it sounds better the first way.

posted by Mademoiselle on May 6, 2007 at 8:58 PM | link to this | reply

I probably wouldn't have even caught that ...

had you not mentioned it.

Thanks for pointing it out.

The Peter Lorre eyes are pretty cute, too, actually.

What a cute family. I really like Michelle, actually. She has this
air of dumb innocence all over. Kinda cute (minus the Peter Lorre eyes).
