Hi,
We all know that instant gratification isn't always the way but nothing has highlighted that point for me as much as having resigned. The idea that there's no fixed salary has made me curb my spending and consider purchases. I've found it's had a good influence on my eating habits as well.

well, I agree with you...
but it's far easier not to spend any money now when you don't have any! lol.
I imagine millions of people would be living differently, i.e., practicing delayed gratification, were it not for the advent of the credit card...

in our instant gratification world - it's a hard concept for people to ....
grasp. It's one thing I'm definitely teaching my kids. thanks for a thought provoking blog!
