I love Prince ...
However, the reality is I simply grew tired of people misinterpreting what the abbreviation stood for.

That's one way to look at it, Una.

Thanks for the warning.

I take it Prince was your favorite singer once upon a time and you're living out some strange fantasy?? :) We certainly won't confuse you with anyone else!

It was too much effort, mysteria ...
especially for a blog that was (rough estimate) a third as popular as this one.

Regarding your hint of starting a collection for the MA jokes; we're leaving that option for future considerations. Thanks.

I really hadn't given it that much (i.e. any) thought, Rcky ...

Who knew a simple name change could be so complex?

You know, maybe I should ask my therapist if this is okay ... to make sure I'm ready to take such a big step.

Are you going to block me if I don't, Squiggy?

Okay, what I will do is this ...
I have therapy tonight, after which, I'll simply change the username in tandem with uploading my next post.

posted by Mademoiselle on April 11, 2006 at 10:15 AM | link to this | reply

This isn't a "publicity stunt", Aaron ...

After all, once the name is changed, it can't be altered for a month.  Thus, I'll be stuck with it.

posted by Mademoiselle on April 11, 2006 at 10:10 AM | link to this | reply

I appreciate that, Gulliver.

I think I need to cut back on the "howevers"
... however.

posted by Mademoiselle on April 11, 2006 at 10:06 AM | link to this | reply

Well, I was, David.

However, I've been convinced to go in a slightly different direction.

I do remain an ENORMOUS fan of Prince, however.

For a serious publicity stunt

You could change your name to ( . ) ( . )

You'd be the blogger known as "eyeballs."  Or something.

Okay.
Look for my comments to you to be addressed to "Squiggy"

posted by FactorFiction on April 11, 2006 at 6:26 AM | link to this | reply

So, you are gonna become a symbol instead of a name
Just like Prince!

posted by David1Spirit on April 11, 2006 at 6:12 AM | link to this | reply

No, if I change my mind again ...
I'll likely be known as "The Blogger Now Known To Change Her Mind A Lot".

posted by Mademoiselle on April 11, 2006 at 4:43 AM | link to this | reply

So, if you change your mind again, will you be known as
"The Blogger Formerly Known as ~^~~^~~^~"?

posted by Renigade on April 11, 2006 at 4:34 AM | link to this | reply

I appreciate that, abhilasha ...
when the name is posted in english, however, it will appear a tad less "quantum physical".

posted by Mademoiselle on April 11, 2006 at 4:33 AM | link to this | reply

Thank you, Ann ...

Wait ... was that a compliment or an insult?

P.S. You have a very good memory, btw.

hiii..
this name to me...sounds very sweet...& its like as if its taken from quantum physics....but as they say..a rose by any name would smell as sweet....

This comments section outshines the post. As usual. I don't suppose the new name will be Mademoiselle. Lol.

needless to say, I was completely mortified.

The pronunciation will be readily apparent soon enough, Jack.

and MP,
Could you not use that pinky/magenta color in stuff?  It's too much like those pint, see-through panties that add some color to what you see when you see through them, but your can't see them themselves.  Kind of like what the ~ when it gets used with an n.  Have you flipped out, or is it me?

Ms ~~--wha,
Well, that should get some attention.  I like it, but how is it pronounced?  The ~ over an n in Spanish changes the way that the n gets pronounced, but the ~ doesn't get pronounced.  Now I don't know what to do.  Tell me how to pronounce it so I know what thread to get for the screws that I need to put my head back on.  Thanks.  I needed something like this.

Well, Prof ...

when I returned to Blogit (after my long hiatus), I transformed my previous username into initials (basically, in an attempt to "avoid detection").

Of course, once I changed it ...I immediately remembered the better and more accurate idea (for a name) that former blogger Hemlocker had suggested, like, a thousand years ago.  Which is what my name will now soon be, sometime tomorrow.

It's really not all that major a change, anyway.
