Pet ( dog) Peeve.

I had to go into town today and was driving behind a pick-up truck in which two dogs were riding--no, not riding. "Riding" implies travelling in relative comfort and safety. This is Burns' Day. I'm always pleasantly surprised to see so many Canadians claiming Scottish heritage. Every year they give their tongues a real work-out by trying to toast the Haggis, say the Burns Grace and rrrroll their RRRR's like Sir Harry Lauder. I never attended a Burns' Night in Scotland....
