Illusion: Nothing We See is as it Seems

I look out upon the beauty of the desert and am humbled. While others may see red rock, saguaros and palos verdes, I see nothing but illusion. For each saguaro is not a cactus, each palos verdes not a tree. Nothing is as it seems. The illusion of this reality is that every desert plant and rock, each snake and scorpion, the mountains and the desert streams are separate.
