Ever tried to wake a sleeping child that didn't want to wake up and have a happy ending? Dan had a distinct affinity for food that was unrivaled. He loved it. At three years old he took to raiding the refrigerator at night and it was a constant source of puzzlement to me where everything from the lower shelf to the second shelf from the top appeared to have disappeared as it were overnight.
