Nightingale sonnet
This is a re-post from my original blog; I made one or two small changes, for example substituting "bright" for "soft" in the first line. I had never heard a nightingale singing up till then. I have now, and it is not strictly soft! It is sweet, however, and quite varied in its tone.... Sign in to see full entry.
