Back again
It is really hard for me to write when I've been away for a few days. Maybe it's better that way as I will leave out some trivial details. Hopefully it will help me to focus on the more important things. I've been busy, as usual, but enjoying a lot of family time and that is good. Last night our family watched an animated DVD made by "Voice of the Martyrs" called Perpetua. It was about a young girl in around AD 203 who became a Christian and then she was martyred for her faith, being thrown in...

Birthday time again
Today is my eldest son's 27th birthday! My daughter-in-law made spaghetti for lunch and bought a cake ice cream too. I was going to make a pumpkin pie, but when you make it from scratch it takes all day. So, the pies will have to wait till tomorrow. I cooked a large pumpkin in my roaster. I am guessing it will make between 5-10 pies. I need to make one with rice milk, as Gideon isn't drinking milk because it congests him. I don't know how it will turn out. I guess I will find out. It was raining...

A rainy day
Today was a rainy cold day. I'm glad we live in a semi-arid climate normally, that way, when it does rain I enjoy it. Another great day, busy as usual. Errands and grocery shopping and bank deposits. Tonight my grandson warmed up to me a little more. First we shook hands, then I held him. He is a little insecure from traveling, so he's pretty attached to his mom and dad. It's still hard to believe I am a "grandma", but I'm starting to like it more and more. In the motor home I can hear the rain...

I had a great day!
Time seems to be something I do not have a lot of extra right now. I do have a few minutes to write, before I have other things I need to do, one of them being spending time with my husband. He just got off work and is in the shower. Home schooling is going ok so far. The children are being very diligent, but I struggle with time to go over all they've been doing. I am still very impressed at the Algebra 1 program I bought and I'm doing it along with them. It feels so good to understand it. I...
