He will be Taking an Oath, Not Taking his Own Name in Vain.

What is truly amazing to me is how, in politics, bands of subcultural groupings can forge a coalition and march to victory, without really hearing, or caring, what their candidate stands for. Now in the current example, the gays are caught up in a fury over the choice of minister for the innaugural.... Sign in to see full entry.

Caroline and Andy, Neck and Neck in the Recent Siena Poll

New York Gov. Paterson has a hard choice. Either of the leading candidates for the Hillary Clinton Senate seat (NY), is a would-be presidential aspirant. Caroline (51), as I was reading about yesterday, has the pride, family name AND integrity. Andy (52) New York AG and son of former New York Mayor... Sign in to see full entry.

President Kennedy, 2020

And now from the "News Before. It Happens" department -- Caroline Kennedy, daughter of President JFK, to run for president in 2020. After assuming the Senate seat held by her uncle, Bobby Kennedy, who became AG for President Kennedy, ran for president himself in 1968 and was assassinated, Caroline... Sign in to see full entry.

Illinois Gov. "Blago" Giving the Phoneme [-blog] A Bad Name

It appears that the critics were right when they questioned Treasury Secretary Paulson's grasp of the economic problem. As I remember it, back in October, Obama was asked to meet at the White House with his opponent for the 2008 election, President Bush, and a host of economic specialists from... USA Military Jets Bomb Houses in San Diego

Mysteria narrowly escaped death today as a military jet, without its pilot who ejected, crashed into a residential district. Neighbors were quoted as saying: "this is a neighborhood, not a residential district". It is believed that mysteria survived the debacle without injury. Way to go mysteria!... Obama @ Risk

After a long talk with my old partner today, we were GOP's together, I see a new threat to the Obama Administration. Not from a bullet. Not from a bomb. It appears that many of the old time GOP'ers hope for the best for Obama. They hope for the best for the country and so that translates into good... Sign in to see full entry.

Hillary @ SecState, An Honest Broker?

I was reading the headlines this morning and noticed a comment about Hillary's honesty. Tracing from Rose Law overbilling, hidden records, trollop scandals and the famous hail of non-existent machine gun fire, it appears that the new post will be an opportunity fraught with danger for her. Another... Sign in to see full entry.

Sarah Palin, Now the True GOP Frontrunner

Yesterday I was reading about the Georgia Senate runoff, and wondering that Obama physically stayed away. It seemed to me that keeping open his Georgia offices, that is, the ground troops of young campaign workers, was a good move, but a gesture. Being there would certainly have caused a stir. Sarah... GOP Drubbing at an End

Saxby Chambliss and Norm Coleman are surviving the 2008 post-election election period. Georgia has returned its GOP Senator in a runoff election that Obama assisted with, but only indirectly. He kept his Georgia offices open and working for the democratic candidate there. Correctly, he figured that... Sign in to see full entry.

"Bay of Pigs" Thinking Unlikely in Obama Administration

I was trying to listen to the news last night while my daughter was making racket with the vacuum. A talking head was attempting to answer a question with an inappropriate use of the phrase "groupthink". When she got around to the real meaning of the word, she was cut off. That's groupthink. Saying... Sign in to see full entry.
