Firing out of Frustration
My Nats fired Manny Acta. It's not a surprize, but it is a mistake. Firing a manager/coach rarely does anything but take away stability. Firing Clint Hurdle in Colorado this year did seem to help but far more typical is the situation in Arizona, where firing former Manager of the Year Bob Melvin...

I'd hate to be a member of the Yankees. If they don't win the World Series, their season is a failure. If they do win the World Series so what? They ought to win the World Series with all that money and all those great players. The Yankees can't win

I was watching Sunday night baseball a few weeks ago and they were talking about not stealing when you're ahead Joe Morgan said that he wouldn't steal if his team was four or more runs ahead because it would take a grand slam to tie the game.
