Bad luck just seems to heap itself upon me.

Bad luck just seems to heap itself upon me. Now we seem to have another parcel lost in the post. This time an air mail to the US. There seems to be little is anything you can do to chase it up, but I’ve found a phone number, and will ring it on Monday. If it were not or the good news on the book, I would be worried. The new stuff is coming slowly, and I keep getting side tracked with daft things like a Web site for it, and all that. Excuses. Read a good article in the independent about the birth... should I stay or should I go now?

With the news that 5 more publishers are actually looking at more manuscript, I now face a dilemma. Should I try and write on a no-fiction subject, or go straight into writing the new novel? I know this sounds like I’ve actually been published and this could be years off, But I feel it has to be faced. What if they say: "show us something else you have written?" I can’t tell them the truth; that there’s nothing else worth reading. So what am I going to do? From time to time I do get a bee in my... Sign in to see full entry.

Blind to Justice: Mr Blunkett!

My Blunkett I think there would be more sympathy for Blunkett is he had stuck to his socialist princibles. An ideology which got him into politics. The people’s Republic of South Yorkshire was such a nonsense but it did propel him and many more into the ranks of the executive of the party. Now we can see that it was all a sham. As I now believe socialism to be myself. Having been very left wing, and an active member of Militant, I think it was all a waist of time. People don’t work like that.... Sign in to see full entry.

Bloody Royal mail!

Ebay has its ups and downs, but the whole thing fall to bits once the post office decide not to deliver the bloody parcels. What a carry on I have had, trying to convince the customer, it will get there in the end. Life has its ups and downs. The money is trickling in, but just. Seriously think I will have to return to full time work, and leave the net behind. Nothing else had worked out for me. The only ray on the horizon is Hill & Hill my publishers. They had a guy from Viking, which is a spin... Sign in to see full entry.

Bird flue! A blogging Horror!

Bird flue I am appalled to hear that the virus had been brought in on some imported Parrots from the Far East. I thought that this sick trade had ended long ago. If this scare does any good, it might stop this evil. How do they look into their soles, knowing the horror they have inflicted? Sign in to see full entry.

Bird Flue!

Bird flue We are about to have our population culled by a bought of flue, which, up till now, has no cure. Certainly there are a lot of people I would like to get rid of, but even I can’t condone the horror that this would bring. Many of the little villages around here, died back in the 13 th century as a result of the Black Death. If we were to face the same threat, it would be the finish of the country. Especially since the hospitals have been cut back to much, there is no way they could cope.... Sign in to see full entry.

What next?

Even though Hill & Hill gave me a glowing review for the book, I’m now faced with the horror of having to write the next one. In the past I just churned them out. But now there may be money involved, I have to take it seriously. Science Fiction is not popular with publishers, and although I’m a Sci-Fi, man at heart, I can’t go back. Comedy/Action/Thrillers/Politics is what I do best, and I’ll stick to it. The only game in town is to write a follow up to Lottery Dreams. A Mark 2 if you like. I... Sign in to see full entry.

A letter from my Agent

Some good news from my agent, they have sent a glowing letter to all the publishers to try and get my book off the ground. This is the opening page: Biog: Hill and Hill Literary Agency are proud to present the new face of commercial Fiction, Mr Stephen Lambert Mr Lambert has a unique and original talent. With a passion sadly lacking in today’s literary market Mr Lambert brings forth a novel that offers the discerning reader a tremendously satirical and original, plot. "Lottery Drams" brings to... Life does on.

Things seem to be settling down. Ebay, computers everything seems to be going well. Not a fortune, but at least the damn thing works. Hill & Hill (my publishers) have decided to try and get the novel accepted. Which is good news. But we now have the problem, of what the hell am I going to write next? All I can think of, is a follow up of the last story. After reading Tom Sharpe, I’m cheered to know that writing the comic novel is not impossible. My type of humour sits in with what people know... Getting over it!!

I think I’m getting over my obsession with Suzanna Hamilton. Of all the people you could fall for, why should I be so obsessed with her? Having read some Dion fortune, I think it’s about closure. Closing the holes in our auras so we are not bombarded with any passing whimsy, which might influence us. Of course its all about lost youth, and a passing life. If only….has been said more than once in the last few weeks. Its not as if I haven’t got enough to contedn with. Bankruptcy, viruses and the... Sign in to see full entry.
