When You Miss Me
My brother-in-law- was sick with Hepatitus C. He'd been in and out of hospitals the last 6 years. The final time he entered the hospital was to have a shunt surgically implanted to take the pressure off his vein for dialysis. The hepatitus had attacked and destroyed both of his kidneys. While in the hospital, he contracted a blood infection, suffered a stroke and finally cardiac arrest. He was suffering so badly the family was not allowed to see him. He went "home" at age 48.
