Looking At the World
She was an artist and her life was a canvas She ran ahead where there was no paths She crossed borders recklessly, refusing to recognize limits, saying bonjour and buon giorno as if she owned both France and Italy and the day itself She held her head high and looked the world straight in the eye I am sharing my "voice" in yet a different expression.
