The World's Cleanest Bathroom

Those of you who have been reading this blog from the beginning.... What am I saying? Is there anyone left in Blogit-land who has been reading this blog since Spring of 2003? Anyway, the saga of the possessed bathroom continues. Yesterday the plumber came to put the toilet back on the wall. It took... Sign in to see full entry.

OOOOOOOOOAK ! kracola!

Most of you won't get this. The rest of you: you're welcome for the flashback! I couldn't resist. The Baby Bunny and I just got back from her first real full-production Broadway musical, the revival of Oklahoma! which is currently playing at Gammage Auditorium in Tempe. I didn't know how she would... Sign in to see full entry.

Spam from foreign countries sure is weird

I just received a spam message from "Mark." The subject line was, "I just moved to Indianapolis." It looked like a legitimate message to me, but I have vendors and customers who send me messages with similar subject lines ("Back in town!" "Going on vacation!" "New address!") Apparently "Mark" saw my... Sign in to see full entry.

Nope, don't like him any better now that he's dead

Everyone seems awash with Reagan nostalgia. Even NPR, who have been analyzing the good and bad points of Reagan's policies, features many people who praise him for his great communication skills and perfect presidential image. Well, I didn't buy it then, and I'm still not buying it now. While he was... Sign in to see full entry.

"Blowout" is great so far

I read reviews that said Blowout, the Bravo about the opening of a Beverly Hills salon, wasn't very good, but I've watched half the program I taped last night and I'm fascinated. Maybe it gets boring or stupid later in the series, but right now I can't wait to watch the rest of the tape and see it... Sign in to see full entry.

A nice thing about this summer is....

.... I can do the dishes after breakfast. Otter likes to eat just before he leaves for work, which is often at the same time, or earlier, than I have to leave the house. This summer, he leaves and I stay home with the snoozing Baby Bunny. Clean-kitchen mission: accomplished! Sign in to see full entry.

Day two of summer vacation goin' on strong!

Otter was a little miffed last night because at midnight, when I was exhausted but he wanted to ask my opinon about the house design, I said it was great but I had one little concern. He had a hissy fit and was ready to chuck the whole thing! But he calmed down this morning. I told him it was... Sign in to see full entry.

The flag-flyers read my blog!

After I posted my entry asking why half the flags I see are a full-staff, I drove to Tempe and I noticed two different businesses whose flags had been high this morning had lowered them. Maybe they read my blog and Jeff's comment about the proper height of flags after the death of a president... Sign in to see full entry.

Why aren't all the flags at half-mast?

I guess I just assumed that flags would stay at half-mast until after the big funeral for President Reagan on Friday. About half the flags in town are flying all the way at the top of the poles. Sign in to see full entry.

Roast Lamb

Lamb is usually expensive. Around Easter Costco had imported lamb very cheap. And guess what? It's still there! So I bought a lamb roast. It's in the oven right now. Most people (okay, most recipe books) talk about sticking cloves of garlic right into the lamb. And yet this doesn't seem to be very... Sign in to see full entry.
