They say a person must get a fair chance before he gets a severe punishment

I fully agree. But mustn't there be a balance between his fair chance and the trauma to the victim that comes from this process of "fair" chance? How does one give the victim a fair chance too and yet a long rope to the accused? Sign in to see full entry.
