I am a Veteran who Values Gays and Lesbians in the Service
This post will not concern itself with the general disrespect for those who are gay whether in the military or not; it will focus on the many gays who serve our nation honorably and valiantly. I am a veteran who served honorably in the United States Navy from 1972 until 1982. Not that it matters, I am straight, and I am appalled that those who are not straight have to be subjected to so much harassment from a government for which they risk their lives.
