Crappie day

Dogs and Ballons
I live just about a half a mile from where the Hot air Ballons lift off. Our house is right in the flight path most mornings. I always know when they are coming Raven jumps off the bed looking over her shoulder at the window and presses against the door. I always let the dogs out or drag them out...

Ballon ride
Today my boss took the senior members of his staff for a ballon ride. I had always wanted to do that. Was up all night with back spasms, call the office manager asked how the morning looked. BAD, seven drop offs on top of everything else, includeing a dental, demat and a blood glucose check. The rest of the day
The rest of the day went well. Some of my favorites came in. One little brown tea cup poodle "Patty Cake" came in for shots. She is always so easy to work with but one look at her face lets you know that she is really put out by the whole thing. Dignified-Disgust. I put her on the little baby scale...

Half day

Sad day
It was a sad day. We euthanized three beautiful dogs today. Each were graceful, proud and old, but never old enough. One was gentle and kind like a favorite aunt. She would always know what to say to comfort you if she had been human and I'm sure she had been a comfort many times to the young man...

Today was such a typical day. Last Friday the x-ray processor started beeping. For those who are not in the business, that is a bad thing. After calling our trusty repair man, it was fixed. We thought. Then on Monday it started beeping again, called the repair man again. Once again after two trips...

What I do.
As a vet tech I deal with more then just animal medical needs. I deal with behavioral needs as well. This can include a wide range of things, everything from cats urinating in inappropriate places, to dogs obessively eating rocks or biting children. The unfortunate part is half of these situations...
