Storm

Storm Screaming thunder rumbles with fierce abandon Strong wisps of air tear through a flooding jungle of grass Large drops of water hit the ground like exploding bombs from the clouds The rain dances with the wind upon a street lit by lightning steaks. The storm rages on. ©2008 Tina Bricker Sign in to see full entry.

Serenity

Serenity The cool, wafting breeze across my face, Leaves flickering in the wind, Fragrant bouquets of springtime blooms actuate silently through the air accompanied by birds, so sweet and so dear. This is where serenity lives, Within myself. Copyright©2007 Tina Bricker Sign in to see full entry.

Night's Sweet Song

Night's Sweet Song Birds sing at night, oh, what a beautiful sound. Under the light of a full moon, is where the singing can be found. How I sit there and linger, for that one lone chirping singer, who sings his sweet croon, on a warm night in June, to thelove of his heart, he sings that they will... Sign in to see full entry.

Freedom

Freedom I wonder what it really means, to say that we are free. Our world is slowly dying as we look, but cannot see. Killing and hunger fly free amoung our streets. Do we try to grasp it as it flies over us so fast? Or, do we pray that it will not last? Love is the only true freedom amoung us, to... Sign in to see full entry.

The Sea

The Sea The tide comes in and goes out again, and with it brings life, without end. It washes up crabs, starfish and weeds, and shells of the homeless from which other life feeds. It smashes the cliffsides with great abandon and roars at the sand like a loud blasting cannon. I long to just be there... Sign in to see full entry.

In Memory

When I told him I was in the process of writing a book of poetry he asked me if I would put it in the book, it could be like a tribute page with his... Sign in to see full entry.

Now for a little humor...

Rednecks and Roughnecks Sue, my friend, believes the east and south should never meet. It causes a resistance of rednecks and roughnecks that blazes in a Texas size heat. Rednecks means, your from the south, at least, that's what she said. Roughnecks, to mean, we do as we please, WE don't have to be... Sign in to see full entry.

Marriage

Marriage A lifetime of love is what we promised, to have and to hold. We gave this to each other, even when we grow sick and old. It's a struggle everyday to keep that vision alive. Life would be so simple if we had no reason to strive. A promise of love to each other, we will keep. With this love,... Sign in to see full entry.

Life Too Hurried

Life Too Hurried I watched in the darkness as he hurried across the road. She did not brake, she did not slow. His body, it wobbled as he tried to break free. It was such a horrible site, this dog would be on his own tonight. In the rush and scurry of our everyday life, This animal would suffer, how... Sign in to see full entry.

Dream Come True

Dream Come True You are the dream that came into my life, stay as you wish to, to end all my strife. I dreamed you, I know you came from above, You are the image of all that I love. You are the sunshine to brighten my day, at the end of the evening, the candle to light my way. The rays of hope that... Sign in to see full entry.
