A KINDER, GENTLER, BLOGGER? ONLY FOR A MOMENT
I have just completed editing this blog. I got rid of posts that I didn't think were very well written, and some written in a "snit". Passion is a motivating force for expressing one's opinion, and passion can be put to good use in finding the words that will convey the thesis of a post with conviction. Of course, dispassionate discourse is always good for debate, but can be kind of boring to read. One may doubt the writer's conviction if he or she is too dispassionate. Anger, it seems, does...
